- Big Events : Coordinators, in association with the director, will help plan special big event and special holiday activities. Big event days will require more time to set up and clean up the event. Events can include concerts, water days, special tournaments or contests, prom parties, Halloween activities, and Christmas celebrations.

-
All training is provided by OCJ staff members.
Adult Mentor
-
Group Setting: Mentors will spend time with the students, one on one, during regular center hours of operation. Students need assistance making critical life impacting decisions, and a constant listening ear. Mentors are encouraged to participate with the teens during indoor and outdoor activities.
-
Mentor Outings: Mentors will accompany groups of teens on field trips both inside the city and in the mountains. Outing may include both one day and multiple day trips. Field trips outside the city generally occur during the summer months. A trip agenda will be provided and mentor and student work together to achieve a pre-designated goal.
- 60 Day Smoke-Off Project: Mentors will assist students as they commit to "kick the habit". Weekly meeting will be scheduled at the center they attend with their mentor. All mentors must receive training before meeting with the students. The project includes weekly incentive prizes, a 30 day reward lunch, and a 60 day completion celebration.
- Project Graduation : Mentors will work with selected students, motivating them to graduate on time. This is a long term commitment which may last up to four years. Mentors will meet with their student at least once a month to check up on grades, class attendance, and school behavior. Mentors are asked to meet with the student's school counselor and parent to offer them any assistance they may need. Students completing the program are treated to an all expense paid trip to Disneyland with their mentor.
